MIG/Flux Core Welder  (post date: 2017-07-05)

AVANTech Incorporated, a rapidly growing technology company with extensive experience in design, fabrication and operation of water and wet waste treatment equipment for government and commercial clients, is searching for a MIG/Flux Core Welder at our Columbia, SC, manufacturing facility. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in MIG and carbon welding. Candidates must also be able to pass x-ray. Applicants must have the ability to read and interpret drawings, engineering sketches and blueprints and be able to follow design specifications. All applicants must be able to pass drug test.
This is a full-time position. Compensation is based on experience and skill. Paid vacations, paid holidays, and paid personal days are available to employees after they satisfactorily complete their 90-day introductory period. Medical, dental, life, short term disability and long term disability insurance are available to employees the first month after completing two full months of service. AVANTech also has a 401K retirement savings account.

Quality Assurance Director  (post date: 2017-06-26)

AVANTech Incorporated, a rapidly growing technology company that provides water treatment products and services to commercial and government nuclear facilities and for specialized industrial applications, is seeking a Quality Assurance Director at our Columbia, SC, manufacturing facility. We are searching for candidates interested in being part of a team, who take pride in their career. AVANTech’s diverse product portfolio includes industrial water treatment systems as well as specialized systems for boric acid purification, selective isotope removal, and various other contamination removal applications. The company also has extensive experience in the design and fabrication of modular systems.
This position is responsible for overall implementation of the NQA-1 Quality Assurance Program and an effective Environmental, Safety, and Health program ensuring full compliance with all applicable requirements and regulations.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 10 years' experience at a management level implementing an NQA-1 QA Program; demonstrated experience with implementation and/or oversight of ISO 9001, ISO-14001, and/or ISO-18001; Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university is desired - will consider candidates without a degree with at least 15 years' management experience in related fields.

Project Manager  (post date: 2017-06-26)

AVANTech Incorporated, a rapidly growing technology company with extensive experience in design, fabrication and operation of water and wet waste treatment equipment for government and commercial clients is seeking a Project Manager interested in joining our team at our headquarters in Columbia, SC. We are searching for candidates interested in being part of a team, who take pride in their career. AVANTech’s diverse product portfolio includes traditional water treatment systems as well as specialized systems for selective contaminant removal. The company also has extensive experience in the design, fabrication and operation of modular liquid and waste treatment systems.
This position will be responsible for working with the existing management team to manage the operational and tactical aspects of multiple and/or large-scale projects from initiation and development to execution and follow-up. The Project Manager will create project calendars, accurately estimate time and resources required to complete the project, organize and communicate information to key stakeholders and assign resources to each project phase. The incumbent must be able to analyze data, manage project scopes and be able to act quickly to determine problems and make decisions to solve them.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business; proficiency in Microsoft Project preferred; ability to guide and work with coworkers from a diverse background including engineering, electrical, procurement, and manufacturing.

Mechanical Design Engineer  (post date: 2017-06-14)

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for working on all stages of equipment and process development from research and design, to manufacture, installation and final commissioning.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; a minimum of 1-5 years' related job experience; exhibited a working knowledge of ASME/ANSI codes and standards; experience in the layout, design, procurement, and fabrication of mobile and fixed systems; prior experience with reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, conventional filtration, and/or demineralization systems a plus; experience with AutoCAD and 3D design software (preferably CREO).

Process/Design Engineer  (post date: 2017-06-07)

AVANTech Incorporated, a rapidly growing technology company with extensive experience in the design, fabrication and operation of water and wet waste treatment equipment for government and commercial clients is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Process/Design Engineer interested in joining our team at our facility in Knoxville, TN. We are looking for candidates interested in being part of a team, who take pride in their career. AVANTech’s diverse product portfolio includes traditional water treatment systems as well as specialized systems for selective removal of radioactivity, boric acid purification and various contaminant of concern applications. The company also has extensive experience in the design and fabrication of modular systems.
The Process/Design Engineer, working closely with the Engineering Manager, will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes of industrial and nuclear water treatment systems. The candidate will also work closely with the Engineering Manager in the electrical design of water treatment equipment and systems. A successful candidate will be able to improve processes, efficiency, and utilization in order to reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Electrical engineering; a minimum of 1-5 years' related job experience; at least 1 year of AutoCAD experience; ability to read and follow P&IDs and instrumentation diagrams, mechanical prints, electrical diagrams, and schematics. Additional preferred skills include PLC programming experience (preferably Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500 and 5000) and HMI programming experience (preferably Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk).
