AVANTech is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Electrician to join our team at our facility in Columbia, SC. The Electrician is responsible for performing a range of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and other shop duties including: installing and connecting skid wiring from control panel to electrical devices, installing rigid and flexible conduit and associated wiring, troubleshooting electrical systems, installing stainless steel and poly pneumatic tubing, operating existing water treatment equipment, and other maintenance assignments. Qualifications include 2-yr electrical or electronics technical degree or 5 years of experience, 3+ years of electrical installation and troubleshooting experience, Journeyman License preferred.

Gas Tungsten ARC (TIG) Welders  (post date: 2019-06-10)

AVANTech is searching for Gas Tungsten ARC (TIG) Welders at our Columbia, SC, manufacturing facility. Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in stainless steel welding. Candidates' work must also be able to pass x-ray. Job duties will include: prep pipe fittings nad pipe ends for full penetration welds on pipe assemblies; GTA weld on carbon steel, stainless steel, and duplex stainless steel; interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols used to fabricate piping assemblies or skids; calculate pipe fitting "take-outs" on piping measurements; must be able to weld pipe diameters ranging from 1/2" to 36" in all positions; must be able to weld structural steel in all positions.

MIG/Flux Core Welders  (post date: 2019-06-10)

AVANTech is searching for MIG/Flux Core Welders at our Columbia, SC, manufacturing facility. Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in MIG and carbon welding. Candidates must also be able to pass x-ray. Applicants must have the ability to read and interpret drawings, engineering sketches and blueprints, and be able to follow design specifications. All applicants must be able to pass drug test. A high level of safe working practices and procedures awareness is necessary.

AVANTech is searching for a conscientious and detail-oriented Project Data Administrator to join our team in Columbia, SC. Under supervision of the Purchasing Department and CFO, this position will be responsible for the management and organization of records in accordance with specific company established procedures. The Project Data Administrator will provide assistance to multiple departments including Purchasing, Project Management, and Quality Control to assure smooth and timely completion of work. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be a self-starter, highly organized, and must be outcome-oriented focused. Minimum qualifications: U.S. citizenship, high school diploma/GED and 4 yrs of experience in related field, associates degree or one to two years of college preferred in a related field or business area, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, experience in all aspects of office administration.

Electrical Design/Mechatronics Engineer  (post date: 2019-06-03)

AVANTech is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Electrical Design/Mechatronics Engineer interested in joining our team at our facility in Knoxville, TN. This position, working closely with the Engineering Manager, will be responsible for the electrical design, and PLC and HMI programming of industrial water treatment systems. The design process includes creating electrical drawings using AutoCAD, determining system loads, supervising the construction of the electrical systems, programming system PLCs and HMIs, testing systems prior to shipping, and starting systems up in the field. Minimum qualifications include an A.S. or B.S. Degree in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering; innovative with strong analytical problem solving and concept design skills; AutoCAD experience a plus.

Minimum qualifications include: previous experience in a fabrication supervisory role; 3 yrs Journeyman-level pipe and structural welding/fabrication, preferably under NQA-1 program; must possess effective leadership skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements and schedules to meet production demands.
